CHAIN Centre PE is a community life support non-profit organisation bringing new hope to many children in the Holland Park, Kensington, community.
Chairperson and co-founder Anthony Richenburg runs an Education First study supporting project after school at the facility for children, where they come to study and are also assisted with homework.
The children recently took part in cleaning up Holland Park streets as part of learning the importance of living in a clean and healthy environment.
“It was great to see how the community came to a standstill while watching their children filling the bags and enjoying every moment of the clean up operation.
“Their slogans, ‘Let’s Make a Difference’, ‘Together We Can Do It’ and ‘This Is Our Community’, sent a clear message to all who watched them in action,” said Richenburg.
Richenburg said the children’s response when asked how they felt at the end of the operation was, “It was fun and we would love to do this again.”
