EASTERN Cape-born musician, Amanda Black, is coming home as part of a new venture, Ibhayi Live Experience, for her solo live show at The Boardwalk International Convention Centre on Sunday, April 14.
The award-winning, platinum selling songstress became known to South Africans as a participant in the popular reality TV series, ‘Idols SA’.
She was a fan favourite in 2015 during the 11th edition when she made it to the top seven.
She shot to fame in 2016 with the release of her first album, Amazulu, which was nominated for several music awards and certified platinum within a week of its release.
Since then, she has won the hearts of South Africans with her unique voice, undeniable talent, enigmatic stage presence and for her raw expression of emotion through her music.
Marketing manager at The Boardwalk, Nqobile Qupe, said The Boardwalk was delighted to provide the stage for Black’s homecoming show.
“To see one of the Eastern Cape’s own enjoying such tremendous success is a great source of pride.
“We are excited about the new venture, Ibhayi Live Events by Envuko Met, which serves to celebrate our local talent and give them a platform to perform on home soil.
“We look forward to more artists gracing our stage,” Qupe said.
Tickets are priced from R200 per person at Computicket. The live performance starts at 15:00.
