COMMUNITY Chest and the Reeva Rebecca Steenkamp Foundation have teamed up to host a special Women’s Day celebration at the races.
Community Chest PRO, Colette Theron, said the joint fund-raising event is dedicated to all women in the community who spend their days working, looking after their families or ensuring children are looked after and homes are taken care of.
“Modern women also manage full-time careers and are responsible for multimillion rand organisations.
“We feel it is time to offer all these hardworking women a chance to relax and be spoiled!”
Funds raised at the event will be distributed to women who have suffered abuse.
The Women’s Day Celebration at the Races will take place at Fairview Race Course on Friday, August 9, from 12:00 to 16:00. Entry is R220, including lunch and coffee/tea. Dress semi-formal. The theme is ‘Royal Ascot’ (don’t forget your hat). – REPORTER
