THE Port Elizabeth Women’s Club has been around since 1936 and it still sees ladies getting together every Friday.
And more than a bit of fun was had on September 20 when they held their annual fashion show.
Members of the club were the models, showcasing some of the styles of back in the day, as well as some brand-new ones supplied by Milady’s Walmer Park.
According to club president, Chris Preston, their numbers have dwindles down to fewer than 100 and they are looking to add new members to their ranks.
“It’s not a club you can just join, though. You have to be sponsored by a member. And after a few sponsored visits, we request that you become a member,” Preston explained.
The PE Women’s Club is located in Louis Botha Crescent, Listerwood.
