SWAY in the Bay, presented by Galaxy Bingo, returns for its fifth show on November 16 at the Feather Market Hall, and is set to dazzle audiences with its impressive dance moves and sizzling ballroom displays.
The production will show off the skills of eight local personalities who have been partnered with students, in hopes to become the coveted champions of the dancefloor.
The line-up features Roch-Le Bloem, Asande Mchunu, Bridget Hart, Louis Janse van Rensburg, Armand Greyling, Heather Dutton, Frances Woolford and Gary Dunn.
The winning couple will walk away with R10 000 to donate to their charity of choice. Charne Blume, marketing manager of the Galaxy Group, said, “We are proud to sponsor the event entirely, which will ensure that all proceeds raised will be distributed among all the chosen beneficiaries.”
“It is a show not to be missed as spectators can expect spectacular performances from South African Ballroom champions, Penwell Nhlapo and Lindelwa Mankangeni, who will be demonstrating all five ballroom styled dances – which is a must see,” said coach, organiser and founder of the initiative, Miranda Botha.
Botha, who has competed on the international stage, wants to use this event to show that dance is alive and well in Nelson Mandela Bay.
Tickets cost R250 and are available online at Quicket, and include a table platter. For further information visit the Sway in the Bay Facebook page.
