MATTA Milan embarrassed Bush Pirates 5-0 during their one-sided ABC Motsepe League game, which was played at Motherwell NU 2 Stadium, on Saturday.

The home side, Pirates, looked as if they would score an early goal but the visiting side’s defence was resolute and organised. Milan right fullback, Yongama Qazu, delivered a perfect pass to their striker, Thando Komanise, who side-footed the ball into the back of the net in the 35th minute.

The hosts pursued for the equalising goal, but their last touches failed them in particular in front of the goals.

Milan went to the break leading 2-0,after their skipper, Sigqibo Janda, scored a goal in the 43rd minute.

Pirates looked very disjointed in the second half, as they failed to play as a unit.

However, Milan’s goalkeeper, Phumelela Senti, was not busy because he was not tested at all. Milan looked remorseless as they increased the score after Janda scored his goal in the 61st minute.

Komanise laid a straight pass to his skipper, Janda, who scored his third goal that increased the score line to 4-0 in the 79th minute.

It seemed as if work had not been finished by Milan as Komanise tormented the defence of Pirates.

Komanise set up a good move and whipped a good pass to the super substitute, Tsepo Ngobeni, who unleashed a powerful shot that resulted into their fifth goal, in the 83rd minute. The final score was 5-0 in favour of Matta Milan.
