HUNDREDS of rugby spectators watched some spectacular action when the Mzwandile Mali Memorial Schools Rugby Tournament started with a big bang at the Adcock Stadium in Korsten on Friday.
Fans first saw the Uitenhage-based Solomon Mahlangu High School defeating Newell High School 10-5.
Then Molly Blackburn High School registered a hard-fought 10-8 victory over the Kwazakhele-based Mzontsundu High School.
Booysens Park High School handed a 25-0 thrashing to EZ Kabane High School in their one-sided game.
To the dismay of the rugby spectators, Gamble Street High School lost on soft points to Ndzondelelo High School, after they failed to produce their ID documents.
