MOTHERWELL Football Association (MOFA) has appealed to some of its clubs to register their junior teams as a matter of urgency.
According to MOFA general secretary, Masixole Button, MOFA would like to know how many junior teams MOFA has.
He said that MOFA has 42 senior teams and each club is forced to register junior teams with MOFA, so that they remain in good standing.
“We take development seriously because they are foundations of football. We appeal to clubs to register their junior teams with our junior development coordinator as soon as possible.
MOFA junior development coordinator, Luyanda Notwana, stated that 16 clubs had not submitted lists of their junior teams.
Notwana said, “I appeal to the following clubs to submit their junior teams: Camper United, Valencia, Real Aces, Amathole, Manchester United, Happy Stars, Heavenwise, Eleven Stars, Lion City, United FC, Future Stars, Wells Blue Birds, NU 29 Future Stars, Seven Sundowns and Motherwell United.
“I need this information as soon as possible, because I want to draw the block fixtures for all the teams so that after the lockdown, it can be business as usual. These clubs must communicate with me via my e-mail address, which is luyandanotwana@gmail.com,” said Notwana.
The clubs are requested to use the correct forms when they register teams.
