MAMELODI Sundowns FC Supporters Club’s PE branch, under the leadership of Chairperson Siphokazi Diva Spokie Sikelwa, gave away sanitary towels to the young girls of KwaZakhele on Sunday.

They invited Mamelodi Sundowns FC Eastern Cape Provincial Supporters coordinator Lulamile Sky Ruu Mzayiya to be part of the team that promoted their community outreach programme. The PE branch then went to Veeplaas where they ended the programme by also giving away party packets to young children.

Mzayiya said, “The programme was a resounding success in that the children were over the moon. We were also overwhelmed by the response of the community. We did this programme in the spirit of Ubuntu and bringing the dignity to the young girls.

“We know that they hail from the poor backgrounds that are faced with the numerous challenges. We also would like that these children should make a huge difference to the needy people one day. Above all, it is the culture of Mamelodi Sundowns family to make a huge difference to the indigent people as we learn from our president, Dr Patrice Motsepe.”
