The Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality has closed all its
beaches for swimming after some lifeguards tested positive for COVID-19.
According to the statement, the lifeguards will undergo quarantine and isolation in
line with the COVID-19 regulations.
“The City urges residents to not swim at the beaches as there
are no life guards on duty. The City will communicate when the beaches will be
reopened to the public for swimming, in due course,” the statement read.
