Gelvandale police have arrested a 24-year-old suspected of
fatally shooting a teenager last month.
According to police spokesperson, Colonel Priscilla Naidu, Teswill
Turner (19) was walking in Zimdahl Street when the suspect approached and
started shooting at him.
“Turner ran into his yard in the same street with the
suspect in pursuit. The suspect shot him in his yard and he died of multiple
gunshot wounds later in hospital,” Naidu said.
The suspect was known and a warrant for his arrest was
issued. He will appear in the Port
Elizabeth Magistrates’ Court tomorrow, Monday, December 12.
