A kitten was rescued by emergency workers this morning after it got stuck between two boundary walls in Nantes Road, Westering.
According to Wesley Bester from BesMed EMS, they received a message just after 09:00 this morning on one of their WhatsApp groups, asking for assistance in rescuing the kitten.
“A resident informed us that help was needed urgently as a feral cat was stuck in between two boundary walls. We did not hesitate to go and assist, as we at BesMed EMS don’t just save human lives – we help anyone and anything in need,” Bester said.
His team managed to save the cat and they took him to the Newton Park Animal Hospital in 5th Ave.
“The cat sustained injuries to the mouth and jaw, but at least it got another chance in life.
“I’d also just like to thank Charlton from Scorpian Towing for assisting us through the traffic. We’d also like to thank the Newton Park vet for accepting the injured cat and attending to him immediately.
“We wish you a speedy recovery little man,” Bester concluded.
