It
is evident that the Covid-19 pandemic with the resulting
lockdown restrictions have not discouraged people from
dreaming and working on achieving those dreams.
Idols SA
(South Africa) launched its first-ever online auditions on 29 January in line with lockdown restrictions and ensuring the safety of the
many hopefuls. Just seven days later, South Africa’s largest singing
competition has garnered 10 000 entries and counting.
This is a
testament that young people of South Africa are still hungry for this
competition; they believe it is a platform to help them become the singing
sensations they believe they are.
There
are only 5 000 entry spots remaining, and those who are
interested in being a part of South African Idols season 17 should enter
before the 15 000 target is reached. Online entries close on Sunday, 14 February 2021.
To
enter: The video must be 30 seconds long of just singing. All
other information will have a part where it is catered for on the entry. It is
important for the participants to prepare their 30-second-long clip and all the
relevant information before they log on to submit their entry.
The new season of Idols SA will start soon and can be
viewed on Mzansi Magic (DStv channel 161).
