MOTHERWELL-BASED side, Volcano Ladies’ FC, hammered United Brothers (UB) Ladies’ FC 7-1 in their Sasol League clash, which was played at Motherwell NU 2 Stadium on Saturday.
The UB Ladies registered the first goal of the match, scored by Simamkele Rafani.
Volcano Ladies replied with a quick goal, after Sikelelwa Mhlanga rounded the defenders of their counterparts and she scored a topnotch goal. The hosts increased their lead to 2-1, following a well-taken goal by Banoyolo Macezu. Sive Takuta scored the third goal for Volcano, towards the end of the first half.
Mhlanga increased her goal tally to two after she delivered a scorcher.
Volcano midfielder, Yomelela Jacobs, who was very instrumental in the victory, laid a perfect pass to Siphosethu Nojoko, who found the back of the net.
Mhlanga Nojoko was rewarded with an easy goal following a good play by Jacobs, who beat all of UB ladies’ defenders.
Volcano goal-poacher, Kamvelihle KG Speelman, scored the seventh goal of her side that sealed the game at 7-1.
