Candlelighting: The Compassionate Friends – Child Loss Support Group will be having their yearly candlelighting on December 6 in memory of their babies/children who have passed. The event will take place at the Lorraine Full Gospel Church on the corner of Luneville and Van Eck Street, Lorraine. A light snack, beverage, a candle and a programme for the evening will be provided. There will be a special guest speaker. Entry is free for members. Non-members will be asked for a donation of R50. Book Sale: The Linton Grange Library will have a book sale on December 7, from 08:00 to 12:00.

ACVV Market Day: The market day will take place on Saturday, December 7 from 09:00 to 13:00 at Albatros Flats, St Leonards Road, Algoa Park (opposite swimming pool). There will be clothing, tombola, food, music and more. Safe parking is available. Contact Sonia at 064 426 2045.

Craft, Hobbies and Toy Fair: The fair will take place at Walmer Town Hall, Main Road Walmer, on December 7, from 08:30 to 13:00. There will be loads of craft stalls, dolls, bears and a collectable model car display. There is tea, coffee and goodies to eat. Entrance is R5. Proceeds go to Save-a-Pet.

Morning Market: St Saviour’s Church will have a morning market of pre-loved goods on Saturday, December 7. There will be something for everyone including cutlery, glassware, household goods, sports goods, books, toys and kitchen utensils. Enjoy the carnival atmosphere. Boot Sale: Save A Pet will have its monthly boot sale at the Elephant Walk Restaurant car park in Colleen Glen on Saturday, December 7. Sellers set up at 06:00 at R50 per vehicle. Windsong Bohemian Summer Market: Escape to the country and join the tribe for the Windsong Bohemian Summer Market at Holmeleigh Farm, Theescombe on Saturday, December 7 from 09:30 to 14:00. There will be loads of vibey, quirky, esoteric, holistic, whimsical, bohemian stalls and food trucks and a farm pub to quench your thirst. Animals in Wonderland will be visiting at 11:00 with raptors and snakes and there will be a drumming circle too. Entry is free. There will be safe parking.

Santa’s On His Way: Find The Original Christmas Shop in their new home at Walker Drive Shopping Centre. They will be hosting Santa in-store on Saturday, December 7 from 10:00 to 14:00 and on Sunday, December 8 from 10:00 to 13:00. Take your own photos. Art in the Park: A market will be held on Sunday, December 8 at St. George’s Park, Central from 09:00 to 13:00. There will be craft, art, food and bric-a-brac, as well as live music. Stalls are free to charities and children. Children are encouraged to bring along unwanted toys, books and craftwork to sell. PE Christmas Expo: The 10th annual Port Elizabeth Christmas Expo will be held on Sunday, December 8 at Walmer Town Hall from 09:00 to 14:00. There will be Christmas gifts and decor, food stalls, herbs and plants, lifestyle products and jewellery, as well as a jumping castle, live music and a Christmas themed kiddies’ section on stage to keep the kids busy. Christmas Concert: Arcadia Moravian Church will host their annual Christmas Concert on Sunday, December 15 at 14:30 for 15:00, at 86 Grootboom Street, Arcadia in aid of Elim Home for Mentally and Physically Challenged Persons. The Elim Home is an NPO that provides residency to mentally and physically challenged persons in need of intensive care and stimulation. Gqeberha Central Men’s Shed: They meet every Wednesday from 10:00 to 12:00 at The Athenaeum, Athol Fugard Terrace (Belmont Terrace), between Castle Hill and Military Road, opposite the Supreme Court. A men’s shed is a space where men can relax, get together to talk, work together, have a cup of coffee, and make friends. All ages are welcome. Hi’s Place Developing Centre: They have a church service every Sunday morning at 09:00 and a healing service every first and third Saturday night of the month at 17:00.
