The Head Coach of the Eastern Province Rugby Union, Peter de Villiers, as well as 11 of the team’s players have tested positive for COVID-19.
The club’s president, André Rademan, made this announcement in a statement on the EPRU’s Facebook page.
“As a result of this, the office will be closed with immediate effect until Monday, 14 June at 08:00. All meetings scheduled are postponed until next week,” the statement read.
The friendly match that was scheduled to take place this Saturday, 12 June between EP and Griquas has also been cancelled.
