IT was a return to glory for Volcano Ladies at the weekend, as they accumulated three league points against Golden Stars at Isaacs Wolfson Stadium, in Kwazakhele, on Saturday.

The win gave the team a needed confidence boost after Volcano Ladies suffered an 8-1 thrashing at the hands of City Lads Ladies, on May 23.

It was quite clear that the Motherwell team had gone back to the drawing board, as they managed to embarrass their opponents, Golden Stars 5-1, in their Sasol League Coastal Stream game, at the Motherwell NU 2 Stadium on Saturday. The Department of Sport, Recreation, Arts and Culture officials were in attendance and they suggested the players about how to be the successful player in football.

City Lads damaged the hopes of Sophakama Ladies, beating them 4-1 at New Brighton Stadium on Saturday.

Despite their 2-1 defeat, United Brothers Ladies’ FC gave the students of University of Fort Hare a tough assignment during their game at Veeplaas Turf Stadium on Saturday.

Bashee Eagles Ladies shared a 3-3 draw with Buffalo City Ladies at the School of Excellence Grounds in Dutywa on Saturday.
