NEW Brighton Football Association (NEBFA) Right Play Health Services Premier League title hopefuls, Red City and Dodgers, proved that they had the potential to take some of the other sides to the cleaners in their matches at the New Brighton Oval Stadium on Saturday.
City showed that they were made of sterner stuff after they earned a comprehensive 3-1 victory over their neighbours, Real White City.
Although City won, their neighbours, AmaJamaica, were not easy opponents.
Dodgers registered an emphatic 3-1 victory over City Defenders. Dodgers took the game to Defenders, who also worked extremely hard but it was not their day.
Dodgers came to the game with the sole aim of accumulating three league points in their pursuit of the league title. Boast Pirates took Gunners, as City Lads are affectionately called by their diehard supporters, to the cleaners, handing them a 3-0 defeat.
