An anonymous animal lover recently surprised the Animal Anti-Cruelty League (AACL) in Gqeberha with a brand-new vehicle. The vehicle, named Candy Caddy, is named after one of the donor’s deceased pets and was purchased at Tavcor Volkswagen. It was specially fitted with rubber flooring, sturdy cages, and unbreakable tinted windows to ensure the safety of both the animals and the staff. Pictured from the left are Martin Taverner (General Manager of New Car Sales at Tavcor Volkswagen) holding Jessie (one of the dogs rescued by the AACL), Beverley Rademeyer (Inspector and AACL Clinic Manager), Karien van Schalwyk (Outreach Fieldworker and AACL Legal Representative), and Clayton Campher (AACL Inspector) standing next to Candy Caddy during the handover of the vehicle.
