A 62-year-old was arrested on charges of murder by SAPS KwaZakhele detectives after a stabbing incident took place yesterday, 29 September in KwaZakhele.
SAPS spokesperson, Captain Sandra Janse Van Rensburg said, according to preliminary information, SAPS KwaZakhele responded to a complaint yesterday at 17:30 at Dora Nginza hospital.
“On arrival they were informed that the deceased Lunga August (42) was admitted with a stab wound to the chest but passed away. It was further alleged that the deceased was stabbed by a family member at Moyake Street, KwaZakhele,” she added.
“SAPS KwaZakhele arrested the 62-year-old suspect on charges of murder, and the suspect will appear in the New Brighton magistrates’ court on Thursday 2 October 2025,” Janse Van Rensburg concluded.
