Several women’s rugby provincial teams will battle it out in the upcoming Pick n Pay Women’s Super League 2.
Kicking off on Saturday 4 July, with the final set for Saturday 22 August, this B-division league gives developing and smaller provincial unions the chance to play competitive matches at their own level rather than being outmatched by the Tier 1 unions.
Seven provincial teams are competing: SWD Eagirls, Hollywood Foundation Pumas Women, Limpopo Blue Bulls Women, Griffons Women, AVBOB Griquas Women, Leopards Women, and Valke Women.
In round one on 4 July, Limpopo Blue Bulls take on Leopards Women at the University of Limpopo, kicking off at 13:00, whilst Griquas Women face Pumas Women at the Suzuki Stadium in Kimberley at 12:00, and Valke clash with SWD Eagirls at Barnard Stadium in Kempton Park, also at 12:00.

The Pick n Pay Women’s Super League 1 (formerly the Women’s Premier Division) is the top-tier provincial tournament, featuring professional and semi-professional squads, including the Isuzu Bulls Daisies and DHL Western Province. The elite season kicks off earlier in the year, typically starting in February and running through spring.

The Isuzu Bulls Daisies are the 2026 Pick n Pay Women’s Super League 1 champions, claiming their fourth consecutive title after defeating the Sanlam Boland Dames 36-15 in the final at Loftus Versfeld in Pretoria.
The second-tier season runs later in the year, starting in early July and wrapping up in late August. It’s aimed at developing provincial teams and giving them a pathway to the elite division.
