The Bana Early Childhood Development (ECD) centre in Kathu has an incredible 11 pairs of twins.
These twins comprise five pairs of boy-girl twins, three pairs of boy twins, and three pairs of girl twins.
“Our centre gets twins every year, but now the record is definitely broken,” says Jacobie Bauermeister of Bana ECD.
These twins are in different age groups and different classes.
In the Hasies class, in the age group two to three years, are Jo-Ha and Li-Ta Fourie.
In the age group three to four years are Luvan Liebenberg in the Papegaai class, and Jomรฉ Liebenberg in the Muis class. Also in the Muis class are Miane and Duard Pietersen.
In the age group four to five years are Ogone and Ogotlhe Potelo in the Lion class; Estinรฉ and Janko Reitz; and Nathan and Ethan Peenze are in the Panda class. Isla and Elle Woolls are in the Sebra class.
In Gr.R and in the Olifant class are LP and Rรน van den Heever; Jasper and Riaan Maritz; as well as Ilรจ de Bruin. Imke de Bruin is in the Pikkewyn class. Keren and Luca Mjoli-Cleophas are in the Giraffe class.
Bauermeister says each one has a unique personality. “It is not just double the trouble, but double the fun and friendship!”
