ODENDAALSRUS – Matjhabeng’s Princess Mnqotho is celebrating a major achievement after being officially crowned .

The prestigious national title places the local beauty queen on a wider platform while highlighting youth excellence, community advocacy and cultural pride.

Mnqotho intends to use her reign to promote community upliftment, youth empowerment and cultural unity, with a particular focus on creating meaningful opportunities for young people.

Her platform centres on education, sport and heritage preservation, encouraging young people to develop their potential while embracing the cultural heritage that brings communities together.

“I am deeply honoured and humbled to carry this crown. This victory belongs to my entire community,” Mnqotho said.

“My goal is to use this platform to serve, inspire and lead by example – starting right here at home by empowering our youth and celebrating the rich heritage that unites us.”

As part of her commitment to youth development, Mnqotho is planning the inaugural Miss SA Heritage Youth Cup, a local sports tournament that will bring together youth soccer and netball teams.

The initiative is intended to promote leadership, healthy living and sportsmanship while giving young people an opportunity to participate in organised sport and build positive relationships within their communities.

Mnqotho said the tournament forms part of her broader vision of using her title to create practical opportunities for young people.

Her journey to the national crown has also been supported by her family, mentors, local supporters and key partners, whom she thanked for their encouragement and contribution to her achievement.

With the crown now firmly in place, Mnqotho is looking to turn her platform into action by focusing on initiatives that place young people, community development and cultural pride at the centre of her reign.
