‘n Driejarige seuntjie van die Fairview-gemeenskap in Moorreesburg is op Dinsdagoggend (5 April) dood nadat hy vermoedelik gif ingeasem het. 

Volgens kapt. Tania Helfrich, distrikswoordvoerder vir die Weskus-polisie, is die seuntjie se sy pa (27), ma (18) en haar sussie (10) omstreeks 07:40 bewusteloos in hul woning gevind.

Die driejarige was egter reeds dood. 

Daar word vermoed dat rottegif betrokke was.

“Die drie oorlewendes moes mediese behandeling ontvang en ‘n geregtelike doodsondersoeksaak is geopen,” het Helfrich bygevoeg.

A three-year-old boy from the Fairview community in Moorreesburg died on Tuesday morning (5 April) after allegedly inhaling poison.

According to capt. Tania Helfrich, district spokesperson for the West Coast police, the boy’s father (27), mother (18), and her younger sister (10) were found unconscious in their home at about 07:40.

The three-year-old however was already dead.

It is also suspected that rat poison was involved.

“The three survivors had to receive medical treatment, and an inquest docket has been opened,” Helfrich added.
