Killers of 20-year-old man in Goodwood shooting still at large

CAPE TOWN – It has been two weeks since the brutal murder of a 20-year-old male victim in Goodwood, and still no arrests have been made.

The victim and three other men were attacked in broad daylight in Van Riebeek Road, Goodwood, on Sunday 23 November. The vehicle they were in then apparently crashed into a tree before coming to a halt in the middle of the road.

Goodwood police responded to an alert and arrived on the scene, where they found four men with gunshot wounds. The 20-year-old was declared dead on the scene and the other three, also in their 20s, were transported to hospital.

The police were investigating a murder and attempted murders, but no arrests had yet been made, Sgt Wesley Twigg, Western Cape police spokesperson, said.

“The matter is still under investigation and there are no new developments to report at this stage,” he said.

The matter is being investigated by the detectives of the Anti-Gang unit.
