Crime-scene experts and detectives from the Anti-Gang Unit were scouring the scene of a deadly shooting in a bustling Voortrekker Road, which unfolded in broad daylight on Thursday afternoon, 12 June, leaving one man dead and another seriously injured.

A case of murder and three counts of attempted murder were opened. No arrests had been made at the time of posting and the investigation were ongoing.
“We are urging anyone with information on this incident to come forward,” Van Wyk added. They are encouraged to contact the investigating officer, Detective Sergeant Karl Jooste, on 071 300 5029 or reach out anonymously through Crime Stop on 08600 10111.
