Golden Arrow Bus Services (GABS) has welcomed a court decision granting an interdict that halts a planned strike by its employees.

The court order effectively prohibits the strike from proceeding, meaning employees are required to report for duty in accordance with their normal rosters. The ruling averts what could have been significant disruption to public transport services.

In a statement, GABS said it welcomed the court’s decision and reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining safe, reliable and sustainable public transport for the communities it serves.

The company also indicated it remains open to engaging with organised labour through appropriate processes to resolve any outstanding matters through constructive dialogue.

Passengers have been advised that services will continue to operate on the normal scheduled timetable, subject to any unforeseen operational circumstances.
