Stellenbosch: Die Stellenbosch Kunsvereniging bied ‘n kunsuitstalling van vroue-kuns by die PJ OLIVIER-KUNSSENTRUM aan. Besoekers kan onder meer kunswerke deur vrouekunstenaars soos Jean Theron Louw, Varenka Paschke, Nell Louise Pollock en Mpho Jacobs sien. Die uitstalling vier die kreatiwiteit, talent en diverse kunsstemme van vroulike kunstenaars en bied die gemeenskap die geleentheid om ‘n inspire- rende versameling kontemporêre kunswerke te besigtig. Die uitstalling word tot Vrydag 28 Augustus vertoon en kan weeksdae van 09:00 tot 16:00 besigtig word.

Stellenbosch: The weekly Music and Cheese Fondue Winter Experience at DELHEIM WINE ESTATE features the German and Bavarian music of Adolf Thelen. The event combines a live music performance with traditional Swiss-style dining; guests will be served a three-course meal centred on cheese fondue, accompanied by bread and seasonal vegetables. It includes glühwein on arrival, a table appetiser, cured meats and coffee with brownies for dessert. Estate wines will be available for purchase. It runs from noon to 15:00. Somerset West: The REACH FOR RECOVERY breast cancer support group invites residents of Stellenbosch and the Helderberg to a talk by the breast and endocrine surgeon Dr Liana Roodt on the latest developments in breast surgery. It will be held in the Learning and Development Room at Mediclinic Vergelegen at 09:30 for 10:00. Anyone with an interest in breast health is welcome. Refreshments will be served afterwards. Strand: The Unashamedly Ethical Golf Day will be held at STRAND GOLF COURSE, with golfers, businesses and community leaders invited to tee-off. Whether entering a team, entertaining clients or sponsoring a hole, participants will contribute towards the work of the NPO that is committed to cultivating values-based leadership and restoring integrity in workplaces, schools and communities. A four-ball costs R5 000 and includes two golf carts, dinner and the prize-giving. Businesses can sponsor holes at R1 500 each. Ida’s Valley: Music lovers and especially those that love choral music should be sure to get their tickets for the annual e’Bosch School Choir Festivals. Harmony, hope and youthful talent will again be on display at the IDA’S VALLEY PRIMARY SCHOOL hall, with two inspiring evenings of music that unites learners from schools across Stellenbosch. High school choirs will perform on 17 September, followed by their younger cohorts taking to the stage on 18 September. Both performances will take place at the Ida’s Valley Primary School hall at 18:00. Admission costs R20 per person. Tickets are available at participating schools.
