After a powerhouse season featuring 11 wins and a total of 50 points, the first team of Macassar Cricket Club (pictured) has officially earned promotion to the Western Province Cricket Association’s First Division C. Finishing second in a highly competitive league, the team’s consistency over 18 matches paved the way for this well-deserved step up to higher tier of the union. Their focus now shifts to the First Division D Ama20 final at Newlands Cricket Ground, where they will face Montrose Cricket Club. Also in Ama20-final action this weekend is Helderberg Cricket Club, who will lock horns with Bergvliet Cricket Club.
