Grade 7 learners at Altena Primary School explored future career paths, from firefighting to journalism, during a career day hosted by Strand police and the Community Policing Forum (CPF).

The event, held in the school’s hall on Friday 31 July, aimed to motivate learners as they head towards the final months of their primary school careers. In attendance were a journalist from DistrictMail & Helderberg Gazette, CPF volunteers, police officers from the local precinct, firefighters and security officers from Fidelity ADT, representatives from private photo-sharing app Swizil and representatives from the provincial Department of Social Development.
