Helderberg RFC produced a dominant display on home soil at Charles Morkel Stadium on Saturday 23 May as the club completed a memorable clean sweep over UniMil, with all four Helderberg teams securing victories in a successful day for the club.
The 1st XV delivered an attacking masterclass, running in 10 tries on their way to an emphatic victory over UniMil in front of an enthusiastic home crowd in a Super League A encounter.
The occasion was made even more special as club stalwarts Roux Nieuwoudt and Quinn Visser celebrated their 50th caps for the club.
Helderberg wasted little time stamping their authority on the match. Just three minutes into the first half, fullback Junior Fortuin crossed the whitewash for the opening try, with Michael Visser adding the conversion to hand the hosts an early 7-0 lead.

UniMil responded six minutes later when Tommy van Niekerk dotted down for the visitorsโ first try. However, Helderberg quickly regained control of proceedings.
In the 16th minute Darren Hendricks powered over for Helderbergโs second try again converted by the accurate boot of Visser. The home side continued to dominate possession and territory, and their pressure paid off once more in the 32nd minute when Pieter Kemp crossed for try number three, with Visser maintaining his perfect kicking record.
Five minutes later Jodeci Davids added Helderbergโs fourth try before Luke Carew struck just before halftime with a brilliant long-distance try from deep inside his own half.
Visser converted once again as Helderberg went into the break firmly in command.
The second half continued in much the same fashion. At the 46-minute mark Mauritz Swart crashed over for try number six, with Visser adding another conversion.
Just three minutes later Jayden Daniels joined the try-scoring party to extend the lead even further. Helderbergโs relentless attack showed no signs of slowing down.
In the 59th minute Dian Koen scored another excellent try, converted by Visser, before Cena Giliomee crossed in the 71st minute for the home sideโs ninth try of the afternoon. Only two minutes later Erhard Lambrecht rounded off Helderbergโs scoring with their tenth try, converted by JJ Stover.
UniMil managed a late consolation score just before full time when Liberty Nyashanu crossed for their second try, with Duminsani Gangeni adding the conversion.
It was a memorable afternoon for Helderberg both on and off the field. Nieuwoudt capped off his milestone appearance by being named Forward Player of the Match, while the ever-influential Michael Visser earned Backline Player of the Match honours after an outstanding all-round performance with both ball in hand and from the kicking tee.
The clean sweep across all four teams highlighted the growing strength and depth within the Helderberg setup, with supporters leaving Charles Morkel Stadium full of pride after a superb day for the club.
