As part of a multi-million rand building project that commenced in 2014, Mediclinic Worcester will be opening the doors of a Day Unit, on 1 September.
This 20 bed unit, specialising in day procedures, offers all the convenience and quality care of an acute hospital, with the benefit of cost savings for both patients and medical aids.
As is the case in day hospitals, our Day Unit will accommodate procedures that allow for admission and discharge within 23 hours. Should this period of admission include an overnight stay, no additional costs are levied. The Day Unit offers the following benefits to the patient:

• Tailored admission and discharge times minimise waiting periods
• Co-located within Mediclinic Worcester allowing for immediate transfer to main hospital in case of an emergency
• Flexible visiting hours

• Television set and telephone at each patient’s bed
