Three Cape comedians are collaborating to bring non-stop laughs to local comedy fans at the Worcester Comedy Sundowners at Golden Valley next month.

Taking to the stage for the event at Winners Sports Bar on Sunday 8 November are Dalin Oliver, Carl Weber and Justin Ray Stoffels.

Oliver, the sports presenter on Good Hope FM’s Breakfast Show and the organiser of the monthly Hanover Street Comedy Sundowner event at GrandWest Casino, has been on the comedy scene since 2011. He has opened for well known comedians including Barry Hilton, Riaad Moosa and Stuart Taylor.

He performed his debut one-man show I Came, I Taught, I Left, directed by Taylor, at this and last year’s National Arts Festival in Grahamstown. He also made his debut on DSTV’s Comedy Central alongside Nik Rabinowitz, Kurt Schoonraad and Khanyiso Kenqa earlier this year.

Weber has been honing his comedic skills on Cape Town’s comedy circuit since 2010. In 2011 he won both Phat Joe’s Cape Town’s Next Comic sponsored by Heart FM, as well as the Graca Comedy Showdown, which also won him a spot in the coveted Nando’s Comedy Festival, where he shared a stage with international comics.

The comedians will take the stage at 16:00. Admission costs R90; tickets can be pre-booked at the casino’s Cash Desk. The first hundred guests will receive a complimentary drink.
