The multiple award-winning satirical puppet, and star of the Emmy-nominated TV comedy news series Late Nite News, Chester Missing, is about to be unleashed at Golden Valley. Sharing the stage with the outspoken puppet, who has an opinion on everything from Zimbabwe to Crocs, is his ventriloquist sidekick, and one of South Africa’s most sought-after comedians, Conrad Koch.

The outrageously funny pair hit the stage at the Winners Sports Bar, Golden Valley Casino on 9 December. Comedy fans can expect riotous humour, awesome puppetry and an evening of entertainment quite unlike any other.

Puppet master Koch has a completely unique approach, combining razor sharp stand-up comedy, puppetry and social anthropology, to create hilarious but thought-provoking encounters. He is well known on the South African comedy circuit and has been receiving standing ovations for the past 16 years.

Koch never fails to have his audiences in stitches, talking to himself through a variety of extremely eccentric characters, including Ronnie (the precocious monster), Chester (the 51% BEE partner), and Hilary (a bad attitude ostrich).

They cover everything from politics to skin disease, which are both funny when you scratch deeper, and are topped only by Koch turning two members of the audience into the stars of their very own boy band.

The show takes place at 21:00. Tickets are available at Golden Valley’s Cash Desk for R100 per person.
