The club, part of a global non-profit network with 294 clubs in 75 countries, currently has 23 members from the West Coast, Swartland and Northern Cape. One of its partner clubs, Skål International Winelands, supports the Sweethearts Foundation, which has been providing wheelchairs to those in need for over a decade.

The foundation raises funds by collecting bottle tops, aluminium can tags, and bread tags, which are sold to recycling companies.

To date, the foundation has collected more than 78 tons of bottle tops and 37 tons of bread tags, enabling the donation of more than 600 wheelchairs.

The West Coast has four collection points on the West Coast: St Helena Bay, Velddrif, Piketberg and Citrusdal.
