As a resident and business manager in the area, I am concerned about the number of larger local businesses choosing to use suppliers and vendors from Cape Town and Johannesburg to provide goods and services that are readily available here.

I have spoken to several of my contacts, and it is alarming to hear that local businesses are being left out of the loop.

Why is that?

Some light should be shed on why larger companies and factories choose not to use local suppliers.

Local businesses are finding it increasingly difficult to compete.
