St Helena Sandveld Hospice’s charity shop in Vredenburg has temporarily closed following severe water damage to the premises.

According to the organisation, the shop has been closed since 11 May while repairs are being carried out. Hospice said the safety of staff, volunteers, customers and donated goods remains a priority during the repair process. The organisation thanked the community for its patience, understanding and continued support during the disruption, adding that community donations and support remain vital to the work done by St Helena Sandveld Hospice.

Donations can still be delivered to the hospice office at 2 Loubser Street, Vredenburg, from Monday to Friday between 08:00 and 13:00. Hospice also confirmed that its Langebaan charity shop remains open and continues to serve the community. Contact the Hospice office on 022 713 3738.
