Edriano Bowles, a Grade 8 learner at Pomario Private School recently took part in the Upper West Coast School Chess Tournament held in Klawer. After competing in two additional West Coast tournaments he was selected to represent the West Coast Prestige School Chess Team. Edriano said he enjoys chess because it is a quiet game that requires focus and concentration. He also appreciates the challenge it offers, as it pushes his strategic thinking skills.
