Four students of the Kroonstad Black Belt Academy martial arts school participated in the Arnold Classic Africa sports festival hosted in the Ruimsig Athletics Stadium in Johannesburg from 3 June until 5 June. This is one of the largest sporting events in Africa, with participation in over 50 different sporting codes. Members of the Kroonstad Black Belt Academy bagged five gold medals, as well as a silver. In the colour belt divisions, Crystal Bailie achieved first place in traditional weapons and traditional forms, Kayla Coetzee achieved first place in traditional weapons and traditional forms, and Burhan Coetzee achieved the first place in traditional weapons and a second in traditional forms. All three became African champions in their different categories. In the black belt category Johann Pienaar achieved fourth place in traditional forms, traditional weapons, combat weapon sparring and traditional sparring. From the left are, front: Kayla Coetzee
