A swift joint police operation led to the arrest of three men in Parys after authorities recovered suspected stolen livestock worth an estimated R100 000.
The suspects, aged between 35 and 45, were arrested on 21 May, following information received about a white Isuzu bakkie towing a red trailer that was allegedly involved in stock theft activities.
According to Sgt Josephine Rani, police spokesperson, members of the Fezile Dabi District Highway Patrol unit joined forces with the Vereeniging Vehicle Crime Investigation unit (VCIU), Sasolburg Public Order Policing (POP) unit, and private security companies to trace the vehicle.

The three suspects were immediately taken into custody on charges of possession of suspected stolen livestock. The Isuzu bakkie and trailer believed to have been used in the commission of the crime were also seized by the police.
