In June the Flamingo Rotary, with the help of PG Glass, replaced 25 windows at the Bronville Old Age Home.
This forms part of the Flamingo Rotary’s ongoing charity drive in Welkom and surrounding areas.
The Rotary Club of Flamingo Welkom is a highly active local nonprofit that operates under Rotary District 9370.
Famous for its grassroots efforts, the club runs long-standing charitable initiatives, including the annual Tree of Joy to collect Christmas gifts for the less fortunate and festive parties for the children at the Bronville creche.
The club’s leadership team can be reached through the official Flamingo-Welkom Page or the Rotary Club of Flamingo Welkom D9370 Facebook page.
“Our annual Golf Day is just around the corner on 8 August. Book now to avoid disappointment. Bring your family along for a fantastic fun-filled family day with jumping castles, great food and a great day out at Goldfields Game Ranch,” says President Audra Visser.
“The golf day is being held in support of the Goldfields Hospice Association who does amazing work in our community.”
Current key executives include Audra Visser (president), Anne-Mari Burger 9secretary) and Vicki Harrison (treasurer).
The team behind the window repairs at the old age home are Tebogo Matthews Ndabakanyese, Simon Moholo, and Samuel Mohlabane.
