The 17 years and older men and women’s open 10km race was well supported.

The 23rd annual Mediclinic Vista Women’s Road Race, hosted by Eskom Athletics Club Free State on 23 August 2025, brought together women, families, and the broader community under the banner “Arise, Shine – It’s Time.”

It was a powerful celebration of health, unity and resilience, as participants of all ages took to the streets to honour Women’s Month.

From the starting-line energy, to the winners’ podium and the water points where volunteers kept spirits high, every moment reflected teamwork, celebration and encouragement. Each finisher was awarded a newly designed gold medal, symbolising achievement and commitment.

The event was supported by CANSA, Charlotte Moll Haven, and the SANBS blood donation drive, ensuring that the impact of the day extended far beyond the finish line.

“This event has grown stronger due to the unwavering support of sponsors and stakeholders,” said the event organiser, Hilde du Plessis. The success of the race is a tribute to the loyal sponsors and partners, Mediclinic and Eskom Athletic Club Free State. Here are some participants in the 5km fun run and walk for women.
