Roses Plus Size Corner, under the directorship of Rose Ntombi Matsoake, held an annual pageant of Miss Matjhabeng/Nala Plus Size and the Face of Plus Size Free State on 2 September, at Toronto Hall. The pageant was for plus size women in the Free State to give back to the community, empower women and children facing GBV and to make women to feel comfortable in their body also exploring the world of plus size modelling. Queen Palesa Motloung from Welkom was crowned as Miss Matjhabeng Plus Size 2023, who also won several special awards: Best traditional, Social Media, Humanitarian, Photogenic and Best Evening Wear. She is currently studying towards her Human Resources diploma and is working at Matjhabeng Municipality under Public Safety as a security officer and previously worked as a protector (VIP) at the Matjhabeng Municipality under the leadership of mayor Thanduxolo Khalipha.
