WELKOM – The Mediclinic Vista Women’s Road Race concluded its 24th Strive with Pride celebration on 22 August 2026, with organisers expressing gratitude to sponsors, volunteers and participants.
The event, hosted by Eskom Athletics Club FS, awarded prizes across multiple categories.
Atlehang Malebo won the 5km fun run for women, whilst Liesl Cawood claimed the online 10km entries prize sponsored by Lesedi ICT.
The top three waterpoint awards went to Hollywood Betts, Growth Bridge Charter Accountants and Clicks.
Category winners included Brandwag Volkskool (primary school), Riebeeckstad High School (high school), CUT Welkom (higher education) and Goudveld Multi Sport (sport club). First Battery Centre received the most entries award, whilst Game won the spirit category.
Event director Hilde du Plessis thanked all stakeholders for their support in making the race possible.
Main sponsors included Mediclinic, with additional support from Virgin Active, ENGO and Vista Novas Media.
