KUTLWANONG – Young performers from preschools across Kutlwanong and surrounding communities will have the opportunity to take centre stage later this year when the Barney Play Ground non-profit organisation (NPO) – located in the Matjhabeng Local Municipality – hosts its inaugural Kutlwanong’s Got Talent competition.
The event, scheduled for Friday 9 October, aims to celebrate the creativity and potential of young children by providing them with a platform to showcase their talents in a safe, supportive and encouraging environment.
The venue will be announced at a later stage.
Children will be invited to perform in a variety of categories. These include music, dance, poetry and other creative acts that will allow them to express themselves in a public space while building confidence and developing valuable life skills.
According to the organisers, the vision behind Kutlwanong’s Got Talent is to nurture every child’s unique abilities while encouraging them to express their emotions through creativity. The initiative also seeks to inspire positive development from an early age by recognising and celebrating the talents of young people within the community.
Barney Play Ground believes that opportunities such as these can have a lasting impact on children’s self-esteem and personal growth, while bringing families and the wider community together in support of local talent.
To ensure the success of the event, the organisation is appealing to businesses, community organisations and individuals for assistance.
Support in the form of financial sponsorships, products, services or equipment donations will all help make the event a memorable experience for the participating children.
“Your generosity will have a meaningful impact on the lives of these young participants by encouraging them to pursue their dreams and develop their talents,” the organisers said.
Community members who would like to support the initiative or require more information can contact the organiser, Pulane Tlhone, on 071 786 4675.
