Five learners from Setshabelo Public School in Thabong have qualified to represent the Lejweleputswa District at the Provincial Individual Chess Tournament in August.

The learners were selected during Lejweleputswa chess tournaments held in May and June.

The qualifiers are Keitumetse Khoelane, Tolerance Machisi, Thuto Tshehlane, Mpho Ntsane and Teatea Kananelo. They are coached by Letsela Mahlomola and Disebo Tau, with assistance from Lerato Bilingani.

“This outstanding achievement reflects the learners’ dedication, discipline, critical thinking and determination. Through countless hours of practice and perseverance, they have demonstrated the qualities of true champions,” says Tau.
