Six men were arrested in Kraaifontein on Saturday after a swift response by Titanium Securitas led to the recovery of stolen property and approximately 20 Mandrax tablets.
The arrests were made following a midday report of a robbery involving two male victims. Acting on descriptions of the three suspects and the direction in which they fled, Titanium’s Crime Prevention Unit (CPU) immediately deployed officers to search the area.
“Officers focused their search on known escape routes in the area. Within a short time, six individuals were spotted walking along Drosdy Street, Kraaifontein. Three of the six matched the descriptions provided by the victims,” says a Titanium spokesperson.
All six individuals were detained and searched on the scene while officers awaited the arrival of Kraaifontein police. During the search, officers recovered the stolen property taken from the victims. A further search uncovered approximately 20 Mandrax tablets in the suspects’ possession.
All suspects, together with the recovered stolen property and drugs, were handed over to Kraaifontein police for further processing.
Titanium Securitas credited the swift outcome to the quality of information received from the public. The company has urged community members to provide as much detail as possible when reporting incidents, including suspect descriptions, clothing, and direction of travel.
“These details can play a vital role in helping officers quickly locate and apprehend suspects,” says a Titanium spokesperson.
