Have your say on one-way conversion in Valmary Park in Durbanville

Residents can now have their say on a proposed one-way road conversion in Valmary Park in Durbanville.

The City of Cape Town’s Urban Mobility Directorate invites residents, businesses and road users to comment on a proposal to introduce an anticlockwise one-way conversion of Turner Crescent in Valmary Park. Members of the public are invited to submit comments, recommendations or input on these proposals until Friday 15 May.

Public information day

A public information day will be held tomorrow (Thursday 23 April) from 12:00 to 15:00 at Durbanville Preparatory School at 4 Luckhoff Street, Valmary Park.

“This proposal is designed to improve traffic flow, enhance safety and create a more organised road environment around Durbanville Preparatory School in Valmary Park. By submitting your comments, recommendations or general feedback, you can help shape a safer, more efficient neighbourhood for everyone and help the City to keep Cape Town moving efficiently,” said Rob Quintas, the City’s Mayco member for urban mobility.

Dedicated parking

The proposal includes converting Turner Crescent into a one-way street in an anticlockwise direction. Parking bays will be implemented along Turner Crescent (north and south) to provide dedicated parking for pick-up and drop-offs and a safe sidewalk for pedestrians.
