Meet soapie stars and help young karateka represent SA in Japan

Supporters of South African talent are invited to enjoy an unforgettable afternoon with some of their favourite Suidooster and Kelders van Geheime personalities to help a young martial artist achieve his dream of representing South Africa in Japan.

A special lunch at the High-End 420 Hotel will take place on Saturday 10 October, bringing together soapie fans, celebrities, and the community for a fundraising event in support of Tinus Schoeman, who has been selected to participate in the prestigious Goju Kai Cultural Exchange and Black Belt Grading in Japan.

Lunch invitation

“Tinus has earned this opportunity through years of dedication, discipline, and hard work. The tour includes intensive karate training, cultural exchange activities, and the opportunity to grade in Japan under internationally respected instructors.

My son has been doing karate since he was three and a half years old by Francois du Plessis Karate School.

“My son has been doing karate since he was three and a half years old by Francois du Plessis Karate School. This is the second time he has been selected to do his black belt karate grading in Japan,” says mom Naomi.

The estimated cost of the trip is between R55 000 and R60 000 per participant, with fundraising efforts helping to cover these expenses.

What to expect

Guests attending the fundraiser will enjoy a delicious lunch, exclusive appearances by stars from Suidooster and Kelders van Geheime, and the rare opportunity to take a personal photo with the celebrities. There will be time to mingle and interact with the actors, followed by a fan Q&A session in which guests can put their questions directly to the cast.
