A 37-year-old foreign national is expected to appear in the Kuils River Magistrates’ Court after police arrested him for dealing in drugs on Wednesday 26 August.

According to a statement from provincial police, officers of Operation Shanela II received intelligence about a drug-dealing suspect residing at Die Stalle in Kuils River.

The man was stopped and his vehicle was searched, police found one packet of crystal meth.

Around 1 000 mandrax tablets, seven cellphones, cash and crystal meth were found at the man’s apartment.

The suspect then led the team to his apartment at Die Stalle complex, situated on the corner of Gebhardt and Oswald streets, where approximately 1 000 mandrax tablets, seven cellphones, an undisclosed amount of cash and more crystal meth were recovered.

Two weight scales and a money counting machine were also confiscated.
